Client WIFI Pass not permanent

Hi,

I have some EZCast Pro Sticks and they do not save the "Wifi passwords for clients" permanently. While the stick has power, it uses the manually entered Password - after a reboot the default generated password is back.


Firmware Version : 16953001
Password-Hidden: activated

is there any known bug?

Doesn't matter if I set the pass via Browser nor iOS/Android App.

Hello!

I have the same issue since I updated to the latest firmware version yesterday. For me not only the WIFI password is not stored. All changed settings are not saved i.e. not permanent anymore ...

Pls help.

Sorry for the lately reply.

Could you please provide us more details about what did you mean "Wifi passwords for clients" ?

The PSK number shown on screen is fixed and wouldn't change when reboot.

Did you mean castcode is couldn't be fixed?

Or you need to set the PSK always shown on screen or hidden after 10 seconds shown.

Please tell us more description about your problem, so that we could provide better service for your.

In the advanced config it is possible to set the WLAN Key for a connection client:
Network management - Wifi Password


This one isn't permanent after a reboot. But if we deploy your dongles in our shools - every dongle needs its own wifi password.
ATM you can change it, but its only active while you don't reboot the dongle - thats the error.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Default password: 12345678 Changed password: 87654321
After our checking, once the Wi-Fi password changed into 87654321 and then rebooted it, the Wi-Fi password would be 87654321 rather than 12345678.
Did you mean although you change the password into 87654321(for example), after reboot it would shown the default password 12345678 rather than 87654321?
If yes, it may cause to hardware problem, we may need more information for further checking, could you pleases provide us more details about your problem?
