Cast Screen will not find EZCast dongle in miracast mode

Postby spadekevin » Mon Jun 25, 2018 4:16 pm

Hi,

As Android 4.2 onwards has native miracast support (if I recall right), I was looking forward to mirroring my Kindle Fire (2nd gen) to my EZCast dongle, but it does not find my dongle when I enable EZmirror (miracast mode). So I'm not sure if this is a problem with this OS or whether is a hardware compatibility issue. For example, my brother's Samsung Galaxy S3 phone connects fine and the same with my laptop using Windows 8's connect to wireless display feature. With Kitkat, Miracast displays should appear under Settings -> Display -> Cast screen. However, when I do this, I get "No nearby devices were found." even though the TV continues to show it's waiting for a miracast connection. My Kindle Fire is running Android 4.4.2 (11-20140419-N2Aos-Release-otter2.)Does anyone know whether this is a bug, hardware issue or if there is a way to get screen mirroring to work?

Any help will be apprecited.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.

Dear Vladimir,

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Please upgrade your Kindle Fire operating system, and try it again.
If it still could't connect in Miracast mode, it may cause to the hardware limitation of your Kindle fire.
Thanks for your understanding and help.
