LIRC support for ezcast dongle...

Hi !

I was wondering if ezcast dongle has LIRC support for regular TV remote control devices ?

This IR RC device could control incoming DLNA streams to ezcast dongle instead of a smartphone.

If not, can LIRC be installed onto the dongle?

The idea would be to insert an IR receiver ( getting keystrokes from a RC device) between the dongle OTG USB end and the Y cable end carrying USB power and WiFi, so the IR codes are sent upstream to the ezcast dongle. These keystrokes could then be processed normally via LIRC package.

Dongle’s firmware version: 16602001 for example
Functions: EZCast(Photo, Camera, Video, the Web, ……), Airplay, Miracast or DLNA
EZCast OS: Android, iOS, Windows, Windows Phone, Mac, or ChromeOS App
Symptom: Fail to install, App crash, Fail to stream, Fail to mirror……
