Any chance of adding 800x480 soon please. There's so many applications this would be amazing for that isn't in-car (eg Ez-car wouldn't be any good).

I know many keep asking so I really really hope to see 800x480 added asap.

I really want to use Ezcast with my 5" 800x480 HDMI picture frame

Dear Orion:

For most of the cases, the picture frame should have a scalar inside to convert 1280x720 to 800x480.
This is a must-have feature for HDMI receiver and 1280x720 is a very popular timing.

Thanks for your understanding.

Perhaps I should have explained that better...

The picture frame is something I have made (I have made a few now by 3D Pritning the cases / picture frames) currently using Raspberry Pi's and a LiPo Power Circuit that means the Pi can run off a LiPo battery or run from mains power whilst charging.

I use this screen for the majority:

And unfortunately it does not have a downscaler. As you can imagine the Raspberry Pi Photo Frame case can be rather bulky, If I was able to use an EZCast dongle this would be much more efficient and would greatly slim my designs.

I have seen many many people ask for EZCast to support 800x480 - I do not understand EZCasts apparent reluctance to offer support for this resolution?

I know it's not just EZCast - Chromecast and many other similar dongles do not support 800x480 either (the min being 1280x720) which is a real shame.

I will keep my fingers crossed that one day, maybe, hopefully, you will listen to the people crying out for this additional resolution and implement it in the very near future.
