Hello, Why still not fixed cec problem?

I learn from a world renowned Internet security software company Check Point about the problems with EZCast dongles. Their report states that:

"EZCast’s TV-streaming dongle is vulnerable to brute force attacks, researchers have discovered, allowing hackers to gain full, unauthorised access to users’ home networks."

I fear about the security threat to my networks by using EZCast dongle. How EZCast is going to ensure customer safety besides ensuring its software is bug and malicious script free.

where is web menu? And how to enable hdmi-cec?

There is no cec functionality, but when ezcast device is connected, all other cec capable devices stop working.
This is the problem.

Dear All,

I currently try to update my EZCAST stick but without success.
My current SW version is 13414 and when I check update by using EZCAST APK or AIRSETUP then it's said that it's already the last version, could you help me please?
FYI, stick is connected to Internet and I already try different mode like "EZCAST", "EZMIRROR+AP", etc. and no improvement, always same message " already the last version".

ezcast dongle detected the 3.50.00 firmware! try to reboot and download again.

can i do this offline as i have poor internet connection.

were able to use and run easy casting w/o problem using old version of the ezcast software for ios. now it won't just work for either miracast or dlna mode as probably due to upgrading of the applications. and to the intention of fixing the issue, then i must do the firmware upgrade.

trying to follow upgrade instruction but chip seems to be different than those mentioned in the instruction.

i have posted some pics for you to see. right now i can only connect device as a wifi connection.

by the way i noticed 2-buttons on the unit.

1-at the side .. used to reset device to default (tested and working)
2-at the back .. used to switch miracast and dlna modes (tested and working)

Today
1. I turned on my car EZcast dongle (it has SSID EZCar-BDE6A9F4) and upgraded by itself, then restart, it seems the simple process.
2. After restarted NEVER shows any video again on the ezcast connected screen!, i can hear the dongle startup sound and I can see and connect to the wifi SSID EZCar-BDE6A9F4 so then I connect through the EZcast app and go to EZcast/settings (iphone/PC or OS) and I have the dial/OK interface, but can't get still any video in my TV/DIsplay screen.

It seems after upgraded, the EZcar device lost the video capabilities (sound works), how can I reset (does not have any reset button), or downgrade the firmware or do anything to recover my device?



3. I tried connecting directly with my macbook in safari with the ezcast dongle 192.168.203.1, but jumps to 192.168.203.1/ezcastmain.html and just appears a meeting image instead the dongle options, i can't access to 192.168.203.1/websetting.html as I did before
any help ???
