Hi,
Hopefully this is an easy thing to work around... I can connect to the EZCast M7 using my windows phone and also via iPad but when trying to connect in the settings to the WiFi internet network it does not work.
The network is visible, I enter the 8 character password (all upper case) and click OK to join - the page refreshes a few times but then I see an error that it could not connect. It suggests this could be password related, no IP could be assigned etc.
Any ideas? Is there some setting on the router that would need to be updated? Does a particular port need to be open for the EZCast to connect?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
Chris.

Re: EZCast Music M7 - Will not connect to WiFi internet
Issue resolved!
For some reason using the app in android, IOS or windows phone the connection to WiFi router for internet does not work.
I downloaded the program for windows 10 (desktop version) and the connection to internet was set up and established without any issue.
This could be something that needs to be investigated in the mobile version of the app Ezcast app.

Re: EZCast Music M7 - Will not connect to WiFi internet
Well Henry, exact same issue again occurring to me again...
To help you digging the issue and hopefully re-enabling my device to be operational like it used to be:
- SSID: EZMusic#D96839D4
- Function: EZCast Audio for Airplay, QPlay and DLNA music streaming only cannot connect to my Wifi home network - Internet whitelist keep refreshing
- EZCast current firmware: 14818000
Detailed issue encoutered: the device says this after entering the correct wifi password:
'The connection fails. The possible reason are as follow:
- Incorrect password (not the case)
- Failed to obtain an IP address (OK, but well I have performed release and see my next point, this is not coming from router side at least)
- Connection Timeout (yes maybe, but not from router side since Hotspot and other Wifi router + various other public/private AP = SAME ISSUE)
But for me, neither the iOS, Android or Windows 10 App is able to get the device to register and synchronize to the Home Internet Network like it used to do few days before (I didn't change any setting in my router since the issue occurred suddenly).
Thanks for investigating the issue.
Regards -Tanguy

Re: EZCast Music M7 - Will not connect to WiFi internet
I've used the EZCast M7 for a few months now and have never managed to persuade it to connect to my home WiFi network (wireless router connected by cable to PC). Connects fine to my Android tablet and I can stream music from the tablet to the M7 but that's about it. Tablet connects fine to the wireless home network.
I'd like to be able to stream/cast music from my PC or NAS to the M7. Could be my own technical limitations rather than a fault with the M7 though I've spent many hours trawling through the Internet looking for guidance and most material (demo videos, written word, forums etc) have been of little use to me. I must say that I thought this EZCast was a general 'consumer level' product but it turns out to be rather specialist - I think one needs considerable subject knowledge to be able to utilise all its features.

I successfully installed the latest version as advised and finally managed to connect to home WiFi and stream audio from my PC however, after a few minutes I started to experience intermittent stalling which got progressively worse until streaming stopped completely.
Perhaps my failure to be able to enjoy the EZCast M7 is due to my limited knowledge in the area of streaming or perhaps the M7 is nowhere near stable enough to be considered a general consumer product. Whatever, this is clearly not the product for me - life's too short to persevere - so thanks for the help and goodbye.
