Dear Matt:

Security is always our main concern and we have also noted this report. We will take further actions in our next firmware update coming soon to increase the security level and improve the issues Check Point highlights.
Before the next update, users can take some following actions, which already exists in the dongle's setting, to make EZCast dongle more resilient to hacker's attack.

1. EZCast allows users to change the password, not only in numbers, for higher security level. Similar to the home router, complex and frequently changing password enhances the security.

2. EZCast allow users to configure the dongle to be "Via router only". For this configuration, the only way to access the dongle is though the home router. This makes EZCast be able to hide behind the home network security protection.

3. EZCast Access point is based on WPA2, the security level is as high as the premium home router.

EZCast team also thanks the organizations which provides us comments, advice and suggestions. Based on them, EZCast can keep improving itself to make it better for our users. Thanks for your understanding.

BR,
EZCast: Henry
